Get involved by serving on a Committee! In order to see the most return on your membership investment, begin by volunteering on one of the committees within your Association. Membership begins with YOU! Contact us to get connected with the necessary people to start! Serving others and your board has a value all its own.

 

Administration and Operations Committee (“A&O”):

The Administration and Operations Committee shall advise the Board of Directors concerning personnel policies, administrative policies and fixed assets through the Vice President of Governance.

 

Broker's Council:

Provide Broker education, provide broker to broker resource network, and encourage 

participation of members.

 

Budget and Finance:

The Budget and Finance Committee prepares the Annual Budget for submission to the Board of Directors.

 

CarePac  – Prayer & Action Committee:

To encourage and lift up the Association’s Members through cards and prayer during difficult,

challenging times, and hardships.

 

Circle of Excellence:

This committee sets the rules and regulations, audits files, arranges for a special event to honor those achieving the Circle of Excellence for the previous year's production.  

 

Communications/Public Relations Committee:

This Committee shall be responsible for coordinating information for publications in the Association's Newsletter, on social media sites and the Board's website.  I.e. educational seminars, Circle of Excellence, quarterly meeting program information, articles by the President.  Responsible for promoting the Association and the REALTOR® image to the general public.

 

Community Services and Social Functions Committee:

The purpose of this Committee is to conduct all MSAR sponsored Community Service activities and Social functions as approved by the Board of Directors through the VP of Governmental Affairs and Community Services.

 

Constitution & Bylaws Committee:

To oversee governing documents (Bylaws and Policies & Procedures) recommend changes, and updates. 

 

Education:

The purpose of the Education Committee is to set the quarterly education schedule for the board members. This committee meets to discuss the best topics for classes and Seminars,  and recruit new instructors.

 

Inclusion, Diversity, Equality and Action Committee:

This committee works to create opportunities for positive exchange among diverse groups through community outreach, education and cultural diversity awareness through the Vice President of Professional Development.

 

Legislative/Government Affairs Committee:

This Committee keeps MSAR Members abreast of Legislative, Local, State and National Issues through the VP of Governmental Affairs and Community Services. They become acquainted with elected public officials and attend meetings affecting the real estate industry, including GAR Legislative meetings (when the Georgia  and County Commission meetings within the areas that MSAR serves (Henry, Clayton and Butts County).

 

Membership Committee:

The Membership Committee works  to identify, evaluate, recommend and implement methods to increase and enhance Membership through the VP of Member Services. 

 

Nominating Committee:

The Nominating Committee shall be responsible for annually nominating a Slate of Officers and Directors to serve The Metro South Association of REALTORS®, and the GAR State Directors.

 

REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC):

RPAC Committee raises knowledge and awareness of RPAC.  The Committee also works to  achieve designated financial goals through fundraising and direct solicitation of funds. The RPAC goal for the Association is established by the Georgia Association of REALTORS® based on Membership.  

 

Program Committee:

To provide members with the best possible programs for General Membership and other meetings.  Organize social functions and events and develop camaraderie among members.

 

Strategic Planning Committee:

To assure that future decisions made by the Association revolve around the Association's “Mission Statement” and the goals set by the Committee. This Committee is responsible to:  Set the short and long-term strategy, guide the implementation of/or revise the Strategic Plan and develop future Leadership for the Association.

 

YPN Committee:

YPN helps young real estate professionals excel in their careers by giving them the tools and

encouragement to become involved in four core areas.
