Invest in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC)

What does RPAC do for you?

Each time a REALTOR® Member pays their dues, they have the opportunity to invest in the REALTORS® Political Action Campaign (RPAC). $25 on your invoice might not seem like much, but when all REALTORS® work together to contribute, we have one of the strongest voices in legislative advocacy. Read below to learn more about what RPAC is doing to protect homeownership, private property rights, and advance the real estate industry as a whole.

The Big Picture

NAR's federal advocacy team works tirelessly to protect the real estate sector and make progress on several priorities. Although not an exhaustive list, REALTORS® can be proud of progress made in the following areas:

  • Affordable Housing

  • Agency Confirmations

  • Anti-Money Laundering

  • Commercial Real Estate

  • Credit Scoring

  • Energy Efficiency

  • Fair Housing

  • Federal Tax

  • Flood Insurance

  • Housing Finance and Assistance

  • Rental Housing

  • Small Business

  • Rent Control Opposition

Most recently, REALTOR members can be proud of RPAC's role in securing funding for the National Flood Insurance Program, an essential tool for providing hundreds of thousands of dollars of flood disaster coverage, where required, for federally backed mortgages in more than 22,000 communities.

Local and State Advocacy Efforts

Each local and state REALTOR® Association uses RPAC dollars to contribute to local and state political candidates that are Pro-REALTOR®, Pro-Property Rights, and, share REALTORS® vision of opening the doors to homeownership for more people.

MSAR leaders advocate for these candidates through Calls for Action, Issues Mobilization Campaigns, and networking with decision makers at all levels of government, sharing the REALTOR® position on key issues.

What can YOU do?

Lastly, we are tasked with sharing this vision with our members and encouraging you all to:

  • Vote: On Election Day, cast your vote for legislators who listen to the collective REALTOR® voice.

  • Act:

    • Participate in local calls to action. We will send these out periodically as issues arise at the local, state, and federal levels that need attention. This is an easy way to make sure our voice is heard each and every time.
