Metro South Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academy
MSAR's Leadership Academy is back for its second year and is designed to prepare students for future leadership opportunities within our organization and beyond. Through professional training, peer-to-peer collaboration, and real-world experiences, participants will gain the skills needed to take their leadership journey to the next level. Space is limited, so submit your application today!
Applications
All applicants for consideration to the MSAR Leadership Academy must be a member in good standing with Metro South Association of REALTORS® at the time of application to the Leadership Academy and during all Academy sessions.
- Deadline to apply: December 15, 2025
- 2026 Class Tuition: $150
Requirements to Graduate
To Graduate, students are required to complete all of the following no later than December 1st of the class year:
- Attend 7 out of 8 scheduled sessions.
- Complete NAR's Fairhaven Simulation (latest version).
- Become C2EX Endorses / Renew C2EX Endorsement.
- Attend 1 approved GAR Event from the following list. Students will also complete an executive summary for the even they attend on the provided form.
- REALTORS® Day at the Dome (preferred event)
- Inaugural & Legislative Conference
- RENEW Conference
- Any Regional Member Connect Summit (13 options statewide)
- YPN Recharge
- Annual Conference & Expo
- GRI Summit
Sessions
Each session will take place from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the MSAR Office at 1671 Adamson Parkway, Suite 100, Morrow, GA 30260, with the exception of the Capstone Community Project.
- January 14: "Lead Like You: Self Discovery and Leadership Kickoff"
- DISC Personality Assessment Training
- Binders and Books will be given to all students
- March 18: "From Gavel to Greatness: Where We've Been and Where You're Going"
- History and governance structure of the REALTOR® Organizations
- Leading effective meetings
- Applying for future leadership roles
- April 16: "Keys to Equity: Opening Doors Through Fair Housing"
- Fair Housing Training (3 Hours CE)
- Working lunch & leadership round table: "Reflecting on Responsibility"
- May 6: "The Juggle Is Real: Lead without Losing It"
- Leading in a volunteer role while also managing lives and careers.
- Time management and technology tools for efficiency
- July 16: "From the Hill to Home: Leading Through Advocacy"
- Legislative priorities at the local, state, and national level from the REALTOR® perspective
- Legislative training for REALTOR® leaders
- August 20: "The Messy Middle: Fails, Fixes, & Fierce Comebacks"
- Leadership growth Book Club
- "In the Hot Seat" with current and past MSAR leaders.
- September: "Capstone Community Project: Hands On, Hearts In"
- In this culminating session, students will step beyond the boardroom to make a real difference in our community. We will come together for a meaningful service project designed to give back and embody the values of REALTOR® leadership.
- Date & Time: Flexible based on project
- October 22: "Look Back, Leap Forward!"
- Students will reflect on leadership progress and lessons learned throughout the year, while provided insightful feedback about the Academy.
- Open Office Hours: Staff and volunteers will be available to assist with any hands-on help that students may need for graduation requirements or their leadership journey.
- Graduation will be held at the December 2026 Officer & Director Installation.
